Leaving on a Jet Plane
CaCa (aka Christine) left today. On a jet plane. For this place called DC. “Shit.” Enough said.
(I’ll tell you about my week after I get a good nights sleep! Such change is emotionally exhausting!)
The Joy of Growing
Note to reader: My use of language is increasing so rapidly, from here on out I will put quotations around words and phrases I say.
So far this week I have explored the wild streams of Frog Park , fallen in love with a “pink car” (the first color I named without prompting), spotted butterflies on blades of grass from afar (I definitely don’t need glasses! - the butterfly is...
Wednesday 9/14
My day may have just begun, but it’s already off to a great start! After Christine and I took a walk to CVS to pick up some basic necessities we stopped by the 41st tot park, which has this VERY cool mosaic mural across the street at the elementary school. So, after playing in the tot park for a few minutes and reviewing the colors “yellow,” “green,” and...
Home Alone
Almost…Christine has been around…but Mommy and Blobby have been missing…hopefully not for tooooo much longer - I mean Christine is a lot of fun and all, but I miss my Baba and Mama sooooooooooooooo much!
Yesterday, Christine and I went to the zoo!! Here, I learned to say “elephant”and got to see camels (which I found fascinating), and BIRDS, and funny looking baboons...
2 of 2: “hi dude!”
1 of 2 - learning phrases in stages. “dude”
The Last Two Weeks
These were the weeks I learned to speak. I started putting words together to create phrases, like “Hey Dude” (see video above), or “Look, Kaiya, Dog!” or “Big Truck” (which is more of an exasperated sound followed by the word truck). Of course, most of my thoughts are still represented by one or two words. Saying, “Mamma” could mean ‘I want...
Practicing new skills first thing in the morning and so good at it! :-)

A Period of Transition
I am in that time of my life where my brain grows by some 1.3 cm every six months (just an educated guess - depending on your source), and new tricks and skills are being discovered every couple of minutes. I am growing at an incredibly fast rate, and sometimes I find it all a bit overwhelming - especially the teeth thing. Molars hurt! And I got my first one last week!
Christine has been...
A week in the life of...
As Christine does, so do I. Welcome to the life of a 17 month old - aka a near 24-7 bout of “copy cat” (you know, that annoying game you all have played where you copy everything the other person says or does - only this is my first time playing so it’s still SO much fun for me! Maybe, less fun for Christine?)
Christine was sick this week, which meant so was I (even if I had to...

Update
Hi!
Lately, I’ve been mastering the skill of walking backwards. As exciting as this is, it is yet to be caught on tape - but don’t worry, a video should be posted soon. When I’m not walking backwards, I’m practicing my somersault, imitating new sounds, learning new words and having a blast in the Bay! Lately, I’ve been really into trucks and cars.
Words I have...

Fairyland!
After literally falling asleep while eating lunch (before eleven!) I awoke to three of my favorite women - Christine, Kristin and Maja! Before I knew it, Kristin and Christine were whisking me away to Fairyland! What an AMAZING time! (pictures below - if you notice a cut on my cheek in the pictures, that happened attempting to climb stairs to the slide in the first ten seconds of the visit!)

Monday, Monday...
(during the summer it sure is hard to keep motivated - sorry for being so lax about journaling. is anyone productive during the summer?!)
So good to me. Monday, Monday, it was all I hoped it would be. It began with Toddlebop (always a winner!) where I got to hang with my besties Kayia and Maya (see pictures below), convene with aliens after lunch (see video below), followed by an afternoon spent...
Convening with aliens!
A Week at a Glance
This week has been filled with new and exciting things! From music class to vaccines to spending a day as Batman (in this shot, I’m getting ready to capture Oliver - my first villain!) - life just keeps getting better!
On Monday I had a date with my friend Kaiya - first we went dancing, and then shared snacks and games at a local park we enjoy frequenting.
The beautiful weather in the bay...
Home sick :-(
After adventures in Hawaii followed by playing with Blobby at home, some virus finally caught up with me. Yuck!
I will post more when I’m no longer under the weather, but since it has been so long since my last post, I did want to confirm that I was alive and well…and growing! :-)
Until Next Time…Peace Out Cub Scouts

Hi!
(see pics below for this post)
May has been a bit out of the ordinary. With Mommy starting a new job soon and, therefore, being off of work, and Christine traveling and having loved ones visit…things haven’t been quite the same around here. Given that life is all about change, this month has proved good practice!
The few days Christine has been around we have walked to parks, where...

The Little Things
Yesterday I took joy in the little things. I found absolute amusement from hearing Christine say “in” and “out” as I proceeded to put the toy in my hand “in” and “out” of the barn I was playing with (see picture below). Something about the sing-songy way she said it, in addition to the pattern (or lack thereof) that she followed, combined with the...
Oooo New Parks
It’s amazing to think that even after all of the parks I’ve been to, there are STILL parks I haven’t discovered yet! Monday (4/25) I gave my photographer the day off and went to the Frog Park with Maya and Kaiya. What fun!
I spent a lot of time exploring this park by way of a particular path I forged all by myself. It went something like this: over the bridge (watch my step...
Indulgence
Notes from 4/26
These days when Christine attempts to take me to the park (unless of course it’s the cool Frog Park that I went to on Monday with her, Kaiya and Maya - more on that in a later post) I resist the temptation of the colorful toys and structures, choosing instead to indulge my obsession of flowers. I have to give Christine credit for making such a concerted effort to lure me to...
